Welcome to the Barrowmore Model Railway Group website. The aim of the society is to build and operate exhibition-quality layouts and to encourage more people to enjoy our hobby. Our 1150 sq.ft clubroom can be found on the Barrowmore Enterprise Estate in Great Barrow near Chester.

At present we have two completed layouts which are fully erected in our clubroom:
• Mostyn (18.83mm/P4, Summer 1977, North Wales Coast Main Line) Link
• Johnstown Road (O Gauge, 1908, Cambrian Railways) Link

Both layouts have busy calendars which will see us at the following shows in 2008 onwards

Exhibition note - Due to double booking at the Masonic Hall, the Warrington Model Railway Club has had to cancel this September's annual exhibition at which Johnstown Road was due to appear. However, the Warrington MRG show will return with a bigger show at a different venue at the end of October 2009.

BMRG club nights are normally Wednesdays and Fridays but we will frequently be at the clubrooms on other days as well, especially when exhibition deadlines are looming. We welcome visitors but please let us know first if you wish to come along and meet us.

Chester & Wirral Area Group
Having received a timely prod from Scalefour Society Area Group Organiser, Richard Hall, we are pleased to announce that BMRG has become the home of the Chester & Wirral Area Group with immediate effect.

Meetings will be held from 7pm onwards on the last Friday of every month provided we are not at Exhibitions. We welcome visitors but please telephone Norman Lee (01829-770555) first to let us know you are coming.
